-For us to understand what you after, we need to know: What the design is - a description and reference photos are required.
-The placement of the tattoo
-The dimensions of the tattoo - “small”, “medium” or “large” do not give us an indication of size, as these are subjective descriptions. The dimensions also help us understand the proportions that we are working with.
-Whether you have any skin conditions
-Whether the tattoo is a cover up.
Our inquiry form covers all the information necessary to make a booking.
That depends on what is being covered up. Some tattoos can be easily covered up, others, not so easily. So, you should be open-minded. In order to cover up a tattoo, you should expect that the new tattoo will be larger and darker than the existing tattoo. We may also suggest that you seek laser removal treatments.
Tattoos are art, and art is very subjective and personal. So, to recommend a tattoo for you would be like "throwing a dart in the dark". Tattoos are on your body permanently, so we highly recommend doing your research before making an inquiry. Once we have an understanding of what you like, only then can we make design recommendations.
Pricing is based on the tattoo, but our minimum fee is $100 regardless of size. We can provide a cost estimate at the time an inquiry or booking is made. When we estimate the cost of a tattoo, we take into consideration the complexity of the design, the expected time for completion, the size, and the placement of the tattoo.
For large scale tattoos, we charge by the hour. The actual cost will very much depend on the design, actual size of the tattoo, your pain tolerance and how well you sit for the tattoo.
We’ve compiled a list of all the things you should do to prepare for your appointment with us here:
Designs are generally not shown until the day of the appointment.
Enough time is allocated so that you and the artist can sit and review the design together. Communication is better this way, and the artist will be more than happy to make minor changes, if any. Your tattoo artist will not prepare a stencil until are you both are completely happy with the design.
